Agape Dads

First, I want to thank you for being a great dad. You were probably searching for some resources on how to be an even better dad and I commend you for this. Great job! As a father, I am constantly seeking to be a better father hoping to leave lasting memories for my children.

In the past men would leave the care of children to their spouse. They assumed their role as “the good provider” rarely taking other parental roles. It was rare to see a man push a baby stroller or change a diaper. You should see some of the looks I still get today.

Today, many of you are becoming the primary care takers of your children (stay at home dads) and are trying hard to have a career in the process (work at home dads). Women have done a fabulous job in this area but because of our previous lack of interest we men are trying to figure this out anew. Often we are stereotyped into being “Mr. Mom” or the men of “Daddy Daycare”. We are portrayed as fumbling fools with kids running around in their pajamas all day. Although some of this may be true, we men have come much further as dads.

Check out this hilarious video on "Cool Dads". Of course, most of us are not like the guys in the video.

Guys, if you want to take some time for yourself and get some coaching to discover some of the wonderful gifts that you hold inside send me an email. I know each one of you has that great dad just wanting to come out and I want to help you find your gifts and talents as a great dad. So, if your a single dad, stay at home dad, working dad, or just trying to be a great dad in general, keep up the great work and I will talk to you soon.

“However, take care and be earnestly on your guard
not to forget the things which your own eyes have seen,
nor let them slip from your memory as long as you live,
but teach them to your children and to your children’s children.”
